How to Unlock Iphone 4?
 

Hello there,

i am not quite sure if there is a thread with this topic i did not find one, but if there is pls do lead me to it.

I have an Iphone 4 with 4.3.3 software on it and i want to unlock it to be able to use it in Lebanon.

And obviously i dont know how...so i didnt know if anyone had any guides on how to do it...or referrals to dependable people in lebanon who will do it the right way without ruining the phone or software.

I also was wonder if there is a way to unlock it without jailbreaking it first if thats possible.

Turbo Sim is not an unlock even though that's what the OP want.

From my understanding of it from reading about it, its basically temporary as long as u have the turbo sim in the phone at the same time it will function as a unlocked phone (which if this is the case its fine it doesn't need to be permanently done)

Any ideas if Gevey turbo sim works on 4.3.3 (firm ware 4.10.01)? because i was reading and didn't see that firm ware mentioned.

im using Gevey turbo sim, its a temporary solution since there is no software unlock for iphone 4
gevey turbo sim works on every firmware and baseband so far

it has disadvantages, if your phone turns off, you need to do it again, and if you are in a place with no signal for a long time, you need to the process again

the process would take around 2 mins, very easy, but you have to be precise
there is nothing to worry about, just 1 thing is that you have to call "112" for 2 seconds (you press the green button, count 2 seconds and press end call), no need for the call counter to start

that's all about gevey, ask whatever you want :)

It doesn't matter what iOS or baseband version you have. It will work since it spoofs the IMSI number and authentication key supplied by the SIM card to the network.

so i ordered the gevey sim card and they told me they only have gevey ultra now which is the newer version and the new and improved thing is that it doesnt need to be re-installed when the phone powers off...so it was great! well i receive today to only see that i need to jailbreak my phone!....and i really didnt want to do that so i wouldnt void my extra apple care warranty.

so couple questions...

are any of you familiar with this new gevey ultra sim card? is it possible to use it without jailbreak

and if you jailbreak can you somehow un-jailbreak the phone?

Not sure how you are getting your phone, but if it is locked, the carrier would usually activate it for the person who is buying it before coming out of the store. In this case you don't need to jailbreak and the gevey will work as supposed.

If you do need to jailbreak, you can always restore to factory settings by reinstalling apple's firmware.
