قالت دراسة بحثية أجراها عالم بريطاني أن التطور الوراثي والجيني البشري سيؤدي بعد نحو ألف سنة من الآن إلى انقسام الناس إلى فئتين أساسيتين إحداهما تضم عمالقة اذكياء والأخرى تضم اقزاماً أغبياء. ووفقاً للنتائج التي أوردها عالم النشوء والتطور الدكتور أوليفر كاري في تقرير أعده حول دراسته البحثية التي أجراها لصالح مركز <داروين للأبحاث> التابع لكلية لندن للعلوم الاقتصادية، فإن <وتيرة التطور البشري الراهنة تشير إلى أن نهاية الألفية الحالية ستشهد ظهور رجال يتمتعون بخصائص جسدية وذكورية فائقة حيث من المتوقع أن يصل طول قامة الرجل إلى أكثر من مترين. وفي الفئة نفسها ستتمتع النساء بقامات تقترب من 190 سنتيمترا
