The History book
 

Few days ago there was a big fight in the country about the History book that the government is trying to release in order to be implemented in the educational system and to be taught in Schools.

As we all know the History of Lebanon after 1943 till our present time was never written due to the problems between the different political groups and there non agreement on a united History book, since they don't agree about the description of events that took place and especially during the 1975-1990 era.

How do you see the History book should be written?
And what do you think about the current History book they are trying to release which doesn't take into consideration the resistance against Syrian occupation and many other bloody events that are described as "accidents"?

Aljazeera documentary about the civil war is everything but neutral!

I think it's too early to write the history of the civil war...

Too early? Why?? I think the new generations must study and learn from the mistakes of their grandfathers, why the History book stopped in 1943?

enno the men responsible for the chaos at that time are still alive and ruling our country, we can't reach an agreement to write the history with its full events and details as long as these men still have their power to influence their supporters... it won't work...

As if after 50 years from now this problem will be solved, their children and grandchildren will be still in power.
