Weird,huh?
No one can deny the extremely sharp division between the Lebanese. Never in history has it been so bold, irreversible and complex... The problem today is, that there is no 'Big Brother', no mediator... In the old days, it was some foreign country, syria, and before that, france, and over a century ago the Ottoman empire. Today, no one but the UNIFIL has foreign military presence in Lebanon, and frankly, Lebanese people dont know how to solve their own problems without help...
Who can help? The arabs, useless. Iran, shu khassa? the US mashghouleh bil dehil taba3a... Who then? Europe? naaaah. The answer is: TURKEY! Turkey has good ties with all the parties involved in the Lebanese 'conflict'... Good relations with Syria and Iran... Has enough influence over European countries... Has no problem with the Israelis, and is an American ally...Finally, it has, to some extent, the sympathy of the sunnis in lebanon, it being a major sunni nation. So, if anyone can help, it's not 3amer mousa, nor kofi anan, nor malek fahed, certainly not bush or ahmadinajad or chirac...Turkey :P |

2-It's sad to see that Lebanese can't sort the problems together so we have to search for a "wassit" Here's another point for your raisonement: Turkey wants to prove that it's a big player in the region to get more "points" to enter the EU. |
Re: Weird,huh?
I think that the solution was is and will always be in LEBANON. No matter what everybody says,Here all our problems will be solved we the lebanese are the only ones who understand eachothers.
But, What we need is TRUST and TRUST and then TRUST. Nothing else will help us.. We need to believe eachothers and try to solve our problems in an honest way and without any external interference. Dont forget: THE TRUST |
Re: Weird,huh?
division in lebanon since it's creation, and no one can help getting rid of it but NATIONAL LEADERS away from political leaders...
don't follow anyone because he's he... SUPPORT him because he's he... Regards! |

I do AGree with you but the problem is how can we trust people who sold their country for their own benefits. The problem is if we trusted them how would we know they wouldn't stab us in the back. But they actually sold the country. Why can't just hey actually sit and listen to eachother. well hopefully everything will work out for the best. and God be with the Mu3ardah. |

Take historical examples, i will give one about my ancestors. "Marada" does not mean "mutamarred" or "mared" it is the syriac word for "Maronite Warriors/Knights" The Marada were many divided city-states, fiefdoms if you will, which united only when threatened by invasions. Today, the exact same thing is valid for the Maronites, only this time around, they dont seem to unite under any circumstance, seeing how the figure that should unite them, whines about how hard it would be....(A) |
