Re: Old LFers preparing to launch their party

I searched to find something related to these old LFers, and i found a summary about the opinion of Joe Eddeh ( one of the founders who battled in Zahle against the Syrians ).

. C'EST A VOUS LES JEUNES, D'ECLAIRER LA NOUVELLE ROUTE ET JE VOUS SUIVRAI AINSI QUE BEAUCOUP D'AUTRES COMME MOI.. PARDONNEZ-MOI SI DANS MES REPONSES L'UN DE VOUS DANS N'IMPORTE LAQUELLE DE SES CONVICTIONS S'EST SENTI ATTAQUE OU MEME DIMINUE. EN DEFINITIF LE LIBAN EST UNE PETITE FAMILLE.SEULS LES PRINCIPES RESTENT INTOUCHABLES A CONDITION QU'ILS SOIENT DEFENDUS PAR DES GENS SINCERES. SANS AUCUN PARTI PRIS

SINCEREMENTJOE"

Re: Old LFers preparing to launch their party

While I beleive a new party based on LF original Ideas, and following Bachir Gemayel's path should be formed, I don't think a group of old LFers can acheive this for mainly this reason:

They are old!! we need new blood in the political world, and while I respect there past positions (not very familiar with the new ones) I don't think that they have leader qualities, a new leader should "emerge" from the crowds not from the past.

Not necessary lebanese_a, i mainly agree that the true ones who followed Sheikh Bachir should form their own party becoz for me there is a huge difference between Sheikh bachir and Geagea, and who better really know what was the real dream of Sheikh Bachi other than the ones who lived with him these principles, and the people who will follow them will trust them becoz they knew him, not someone who didn't know him but heard about his political achievments.

Anyways I hope that this party will begin reforming the true LFers and will attract the young ones who really should follow Sheikh Bachir dream.

Aoun was an officer in the Army,he was with Lebanon and not with any person .
Geagea betrayed bachir and who knows maybe he has a hand in his assassination .
Aoun was close to bachir,it's true, but i doubt that geagea with his militia mind can be compared to Bachir or being placed with bachir in the same level .

Re: Old LFers preparing to launch their party

As much as it seems nice and cool and anti-ja3ja3 and as much as we appreciate the return of true Christian Opposition, the whole concept is outdated, extremely outdated in fact.
We face no armed threat from the Palestinians, nor from the radical sunnis. Our division today is purely political and involves no religious ulterior motives like so many politicians like to make us believe.
This is a very positive step for Lebanon, for one, it gets the LF back on track, like it once was, instead of being a scapegoat for 14feb...
