Love vs Sectarianism

Dear all
I would like to take ur opinion in something which is very important....and i think am not the only one facing it....
1-have u ever loved some one outside ur religion?
2-obstacles u faced?....(such as parents fanaticism...etc...)
3-what was the end result?
4- do u think that things are getting worst especially after the sharp sectarian division?
5-In ur opinion what is the solution to be closed minded and keep away from other sects?...or just face it.....and to face the whole community.....

Re: Love vs Sectarianism

I have loves two people outside my relegion, i am a shiite, i once loved a sunni(not so much a relegion in this case were taking it more like a sect issue), and i once loved a christian...I did not face any obstacles, i did not have any problems, i loved her for her soul and her mind and everything one should love another person for, and did not care for her religion and other things...The end result was me stopping to love her when i got bored:D :p ...Personally, i think that things are getting alot worse after the sharp ectarian divison, because people are judging other people based on their sect, not their personality and who they actually are...In my opinion, the solution for such a problem would be to face it, face the community as a whole, and try to communicate with other people of a different sect from yours, and see for yourself that they are also humans and normal, and we shouldnt judge them based on their religion and sect, but as a human, and then we will see that we will face absolutely no problems or obstacles at all...

Re: Love vs Sectarianism

Well,I once loved someone from outside my religion...Maybe I didn't really loved him...I liked him so much...
Between us,there wasn't any problem but his parents weren't really open minded and they wanted us to break up becaus I am from a different religion than his...
It ended with breaking up,and he's in France right now with his girlfriend from about two years...
Well, after the sharp of sectarrian division the things are getting worse, because if each couple will break up because the other one of the couple is from a different religion,it will affect the country and the problems between the religions will become bigger and bigger...
There is no solution to this problem than facing it...We have to face it so that it doesn't affect us nor our country...

Nope, Love and religion can't mix, uno if someone loves a person from another sect choo bya3mol we can't live in a closed world and choose our friends based on religions!! specialy in Lebanon.

Not exactly out of my religion but different sect and different origin (not Armenian)

Not any obstacle from both families.
An obstacle from me!

In my case this wasn't the main reason, but I've tried to ask similar questions in different forums and it seems that the minorities (minority regarding the sect) are the people who are against having relations with other sects/religions.

In my case I think it's a little differnet (I'm Armenian if you still haven't noticed).
So for arabs, it would be better for all of them to love each other!
btw the only problem is not the sect or religion. There is also a problem about political view! I know some people who don't want to get involved with people from other political views (like LFer doesn't want to be in relation with FPMer and vice versa... it's just an example).
