Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their 7-year-old son Daniel were found dead in their Fayetteville, Georgia home on June 25, 2007. Fayetteville authorities have ruled that Benoit murdered his wife, then killed his son before hanging himself in the house's weight room...

I used to watch wrestleling since i was a kid n I knew this guy from backstage n stuff.. he use to bring his lil' son & everyone had respect for him like no body else did... he loved his son so bad la daraje eno he once invited all the wrestlers to his house on his son's birthday years ago... Yeah, I do agree that wrestleling is all about creative Stories & ACTING... so i was discussing this with some ppl in here & thought opening a thread (in association with rami_s) concerning this issue... This isn't a fake story, investigators never said that he killed his child n murdered his wife i think... but its true that the 3 of 'em were dead.. so its no fake story.. I remember TMM-Killer, our dearest member opened a thread once in here concerning a story that the chairman of the Wwe did "Vince Kennedy Mcmahon"... he made a new event story showing him inside of his car getting bombed off.. so he can get lots of attraction concerning the show & make a new story for the show... but the 3rd day of this issue, benoit's family passed away then he came on stage n said that it was a joke to get attraction & talked about Benoit how much he loved his family, cared about his son & earned his honnor by respect:)... Even they made many interviews with the superstars talking about how respectful he is & how much HONOR meant to him...

so guyz, do u think Chris Benoit killed his family then hanged himself up? why? I do agree on Sarah32's opinion when she said that all the superstars are on druggs but I say only 10% of 'em are cleaned... Benoit is one of 'em...

so Ladies n Gentlemen... Share Wit' Us What do u think of this matter?

True Vince said that on a WWE show, but just one day later Vince Mc. bashed him hard on an ECW show ... this was after the investigations revealed that the case wasn't about 3 murders but about a murder/suicide thing ... meaning Benoit killed his wife and son and then commited suicide ...

Anyway i used to watch him a lot, and he was such a great athlete and a sight to be seen ...

I don't know what happened to him, sarah32 theory could be true concerning drugs and all that ... but add to this, that most of these wrestlers get scr**d by Vince financially (they fight a lot, they act a lot, they travel a lot on their own expense) ... they can be in a lot of troubles because that leading to some psychological illness ... and i just read that his son had a disease (fragile X syndrome) ... i still can't beleive he killed his son ... but anything is possible with whackos :crazy:

u cant say he's not on drugs just coz u like him .. u never know justin .. my friend at school b2ina me n him 10 years kel nhar sawa i learned a week ago that this guy was on drugs :p :crazy: but anyways .. i also heard that benoit's date of death was edited on wikipedia hours before the police discovered his body.. so this keep us wondering ...

Wikinews has learned through an investigation that anonymous edits on the Wikipedia article Chris Benoit were added about the death of his wife Nancy Benoit 14 hours before police entered the Benoit home to find the former professional World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Canadian wrestler and his family dead.
An anonymous edit from IP address 69.120.111.23 using the Internet service provider Optimum Online was made at 04:01 UTC on Chris Benoit's Wikipedia article. On a paragraph about an earlier fight: "However, Chris Benoit was replaced… due to personal issues,…", the anonymous editor added " stemming from the death of his wife Nancy." The edit was reversed just under one hour later with the comment: "Need a reliable source. Saying that his wife died is a pretty big statement, you need to back it up with something."
Then just one hour later after the first edit reversion, another anonymous edit by 125.63.148.173 using unwiredAustralia.com.au, a wireless Internet service provider, was made adding about the aforementioned personal issues: "which according to several pro wrestling websites is attributed to the passing of Benoit's wife, Nancy." That edit was reverted just under 20 minutes later, with the comment: "Saying 'several pro wrestling websites' is still not reliable information."
Further investigation shows that the IP address used to make the first edit is located in Connecticut, but the IP address is not linked to any computers or servers used by the WWE, but according to Cary Bass, Volunteer Coordinator for the Wikimedia Foundation, the IP address matches a location in Stamford, Connecticut where the WWE headquarters is located. Bass also informed the local authorities in Atlanta about the unusual edits, but it is not known if the edits were investigated by the police. The second edit was made by a computer in Australia from a wireless network.
"It didn't become apparent until someone put the pieces together and realized that the comment was made by someone who apparently knew about the murders," added Bass.
Fayette County Sheriff deputy Lt. Tommy Pope stated that police found the family at about 2:30 p.m. ET, which is 18:30 UTC, on Monday when the WWE called police and asked them to do a "welfare check" after employees of WWE received calls and text messages from Chris Benoit. Early Sunday, Benoit sent repeated text messages that read "My physical address is 130 Green Meadow Lane, Fayetteville Georgia. 30215." Another text message reportedly said "The dogs are in the enclosed pool area. Garage side door is open." The messages were sent around 4:00 a.m. ET.
Earlier, on Saturday afternoon, Chris Benoit placed a series of calls that explained why he missed his flight to Houston. The stories he told were mostly about his wife and son being sick with food poisoning and vomiting. Although, in one call he said that he and Nancy were at the hospital to be with Daniel who was hospitalized. Throughout he insisted that he would attend that live event in Houston.
When he missed the live event on Sunday, and the WWE couldn't get hold of him, they contacted authorities. Police say that Benoit strangled his wife on Friday, smothered his son on late Friday or early Saturday, and then hanged himself inside his weight room on Sunday or Monday.
The Wikinews investigation is unable to conclude whether the anonymous editors had inside information about the death of Nancy Benoit.
This is not the first time Benoit's article has been edited to show false or unsourced information, as the article's edit history indicates a long history of promotional spam and vandalism. Around the time of the edits, the article contained a hidden warning to editors of the section mentioned, warning against adding rumours and speculations. For the time being, Benoit's article has been protected in an attempt to stop the addition of fraudulent information.

I don't know this guy or care about his death, if it's on purpose (show aw medreh chou) khali yondab a lot of people are really dying around the world and need the headlines more then him, w if it's not 7aram his wife and his son, chou khasson if he went nuts.

Well Man, as I said before, It has been about two years that I stopped watching WWE . But I checked the night where McMahon did the stunt O_o ( I told you its "entertainment" as the show is called WWE entertainment ...Vince mitil el 2irid :p)

And I watched Benoits last game in RAW which lead him to be switched from RAW to ECW after Lashey Defeated him.
Benoit , as I remember was the MOST respected superstar, simply because he respected every fighter even his opponents. He was a clean player and he liked to fight. That was the main reason he entered WWE. And looking at what happened now, It really shocks me that THIS man specifically could have done this.

Anyway, You never know what a Human is of, and what beast he can turn to.
Besides I heard stuff that Days before the murder, ( after his last match ) , that he excused from the weekend house shows, telling the officials that he and his family were facing food poisoning :o and were vomitting blood. He Missed an opportunity for ECW Championship.O_o ( He's a very determined fighter btw, Why would a food poisoning affect him like that, if right ? ? )

Another Note is that Nancy his wife once wanted to make a divorce with him, she filed for divorce , but later dropped it . ( I dont know how much this is connected , especially that it was in 2003 , But it certainly indicates that their relationship was not completely stable)

yeaht that's right, as i said earlier ... Vince Mc. made a huge memorial for him for about 3 hours ... but just one day later ... he was a complete opposite man, he bashed and trashed him after he was convinced that he is the one responsible for the death of his wife and son ...
and he also ordered that his name won't be mentioned again in WWE !!!
so deleting his existence was somthing expected from this nut guy

i used to watch wwe and like evry1 said he was respected and bla bla bla,,,but i think he was drugged and ken moudmin...mishen hek rawwa7 marto w ibno w chana2 7elo:S

guys all these wrestlers in WWE use steroids and proteins and vitamins to get these bodies and they take it in big quantities. And as we know these drugs affects ur brain. Last year Eddie guerrero died in his hotel room by a heart attack and the cause of that was taking overdose and now chris benoit was on drugs he killed his wife and his son and after realizing what he did he hanged himself because he knew he will end up his life in jail

well I looked it up just in case there was confusion about steroids causing madness.
from what I know, most wrestlers use testosterone to boost their muscles power and mass (testosterones also boosts intelligence) but it does not cause madness or murders such as this case
and to those interested, the autopsy on benoit's brain showed heavy brain brain damage, his brain was described as being in a poorer shape than the brain of an 80 year old alzeihmer patient, the causes of that were the recurrent head injuries he kept on suffering in his career and personnaly I think it is that diving headbutt of his.
so no it was not steroids or anything they consume
maybe some day I will open a subject on steroids and explain to you(as well to myself by doing this useful research) what steroids are exactly and how they function

guerero did not die that night because he took drugs that night, but because use use to take drugs like 5 years ago, even though he quit, the damage to his arteries was already done, and it was a clock ticking :(

don't do drugs kids :p
