Messenger Plus Live Problem
 
I recently downloaded Windows Live Messenger 8.1...Everything worked fine with it...Then, i downloaded Messenger Plus Live 4.23.276, and it downloaded completely...I came to install it, and also the installation worked fine...But, when the installation finishes, and i re-open my Windows Live Messenger, the Plus tab thats supposed to be available up next to the "File","Contacts", etc buttons, isnt there...I downloaded it again and again from multiple sources, and tried to reboot and uninstall and reinstall and all that, but nothing worked...

Any suggestions?

check the target where u installed the Plus.
fi MPTools try to run.

Actually, I donno what's the real problem is, but Im gonna tell u concerning a trojan... if u use kaspersky as ur antivirus, u will realise that after installing any messenger PLUS LIVE... a trojan error will be appeared by kaspersky and suggests u to delete it.. it happened with me many times... I installed from different sources.. and i can disable it but in the end, it shows as its a trojan (only the messenger PLUS).. so I removed it and kept the orignal msn... so my opinion is you uninstall ur plus live messenger... and keep on using windows live messenger...:)

After doing some searches about this issue...I found out that this problem is also happening with alot of people worldwide...And MSN is working on it...So we will just have to wait and see...

P.S: I used to have WLM 8.0 and MPL 4.21, which worked fine, wasnt any trojan you were talking about):

7.5 isn't WLM. WLM started to exist as of 8.0 :D
Btw, do you have any other addon for WLM installed?

Well... try removing those and reinstall plus and see if it solves the problem. Perhaps they're causing a conflict...

yeah thats right , but during the installation of msgr plus live you have to choose between i accept and i don't accept , well most people think if they didn't choose "I Accept" The installation will not complete ,well ur wrong u can choos "i dont accept" and the next button will appear and u will install normally :-) if that didn't work then try shutting off the antivirus during the installation.

i used it on 8.0 , i think theres a problem with 8.1 , anyways 8.1 doesnt differ than 8.0!! use 8.0!

i use the 8.1 with the msn plus and no problems are occurring it runs better than all other msn versions and it opens in seconds
