Speculation over the next ‘project’ to be undertaken by Jose Mourinho has mounted with his admission he would like to manage in either Italy or Germany.

With the news of his sudden departure from Chelsea still ringing around the footballing world, rumours abound as to his next destination.
Could Bayern Munich be a tempting proposition for the ‘special one’?
"I will come back and manage in England, but I don't want it as my next step - it must be another country, another experience, another football,” said Mourinho in a statement.
“I have to choose between Italian and German.”
Current trainer Ottmar Hitzfeld took over from Felix Magath towards the end of last season on the understanding that it was only a short-term solution.
A summer of rebuilding has seen Bayern go top of the table in the first few weeks of the campaign and speculation is rife that Hitzfeld will be asked to pen an extension to his contract.
In a bid to put an end to all the reports and rumours, the coach has spoken out and stated that he is not even considering his future at the moment.
"We won't be making a decision until March or April," he told Bild.
"It really depends on how I feel then. How will my body cope with everything? How much stress will I be under?
"These are all important factors."
Should Hitzfeld decide that he has fulfilled his obligations and decide to take his leave of the Munich giants, then Uli Hoeneß would have a huge task on his hands trying to find the ideal manager to oversee the current Bayern rebuilding programme.
It was reported back in February that Bayern were putting out feelers towards Jose regarding the Bayern post, although these rumours were denied at the time by Hoeneß.
“I neither called Mourinho nor his adviser or contacted them in any way.
“If the adviser claims that I did, then he is lying. All these speculations are simply not true.”
However, Bayern are embarking on a new period in their history, with a new philosophy regarding the finances to bankroll transfers. Munich is a club big enough to match the Portuguese manager’s ego and ambitions and there could be some mileage in the rumour.
With most of the top clubs pretty settled with regards, their manager, if the ‘special one’ wants to return with a major European club, then he could do worse than Bayern.
