Hello everyone,
I normally don't post much on this forum (unless I want a song really bad :).. But this topic got my attention. I dont really know whats available at the lebanese supermarkets nowadays, but if you dont have one of the ingredients, feel free to comment, and I will get back to u.
One of the members asked for the cocktail sauce. Im not sure if its the same one that we have here in the states, but its made with just ketchup and horseradish, and we eat it with shrimp and oysters. Just put 1/2 cup of ketchup in a bowl, and add 1-2 teaspoons of prepared horseradish to taste.
Someone else was asking for a Guacamole recipe.. its very simple to make. Just cut two ripe avocados in half and scoop out the flesh using a spoon. Add 1/2 cup fine chopped fresh cilantro, 1/2 cup petite diced tomatoes, 1/4 cup petite diced onions and a juice of 1 lemon or 2 limes (whichever is available). Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of each of coriander, cayenne, and cumin powder. Mix all the ingredients together using a fork and a knife to form a chunky guacamole. Add salt to taste. Now enjoy ur guacamole with tortilla chips :)
