Well,I hate it when people say that word to anyone 
They aren't killing the flame because the flame is barely there,they're just abusing that word  .
However,if the two really mean it,and they understand the impact it has on the other person  ,then the flame never dies,and the love never dies,it just grows stronger and gets sweeter
