to me it only depends on the outcome
I may forgive people that I love no matter how bad they treat me because I believe this benefits me in a way. if your best friend goes into a bad day and does something that hurts you badly, it doesn't mean your friendship should end
on the other hand if I have no benefit in maintaining a good relation with someone, ad he hurts me or insults me in any way, it gets ugly
and it did get ugly many times before
