He is a sniper. I think this is the best description I can give him. The way he just waits for the ball; he is like a predator that waits for the prey, sees it coming, moves his feet veerrryy quickly ( without necessarily running), focuses well and has one of the best finishes in the history of football. I agree with the way you described his play, he is not a dribbling player, but he is very experienced and very smart. His records speak for that anyway, I don't need to do so. Moreover, complaining about offsides, etc has become part of the game even if the player knows he is wrong, it is kind of a psychological war on the referee to either trouble him or make him more lenient in his calls during the rest of the match.
Regardless, Milan still depend on him until now, which just shows how important and valuable he is.
