I don't believe in parties where the leader is everything, it is more like a tribe, not a party...
The president of a party must be a normal member just like any other member in the party, but he's elected as a president, so he can speak on behalf of all of its members and in their name.
Decisions and work in the party should be by every single member starting from the president and the whole officials.
Parties should have a certain political program or vision looking to establish by getting the majority in the parliament.
Of course the best way to help the party which we support is to elect its candidates in the elections, and spreading its principles in the community.
Too bad we don't have real parties in Lebanon, we have a sick backward funny political regime called " consensual democracy (dimokratyeh tawefou2iyyeh) " where everyone wants to be in the power in order to defend his sectarian shares of course, without forgetting to steal the public money and to spread corruption...
In Lebanon we have tribes, sectarian tribes... so it doesn't matter how much you help your party to reach it goals, because it will not reach it in the current political regime, it'll just defend your shares in the farm
