Well, what can make the Universal serial Bus port not working is probably the voltage applied.
So my friend, try the following:
Start > Run > Type devmgmt.msc > Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers' node > For each USB root hub click properties then > Power Management tab > Un-check the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" > Click OK and in the action menu above, click "Scan for hardware changes".
This should work. Hopefully.
