Donating blood takes a few minutes, no pain, very short-lived and mild side-effects, but has huge benefits altruistically you selfish, selfish people =P

Systematics, each blood unit is rigorously tested not just for HIV, but many other diseases transmitted through blood transfusion such has Hep C and STDs. Also, respectable blood campaigners will keep track of their donors and whether or not their blood was usable, especially those with rare blood types such as O- and AB-

I for one began donating blood in the July war (im O-) and continue to do so every 3 months or so.

That 200ml of blood won't cost you a thing, and think of it as saving a life of someone you love, or even your very own life thanks to someone else's generosity.

I realize that many people don't like the idea because they might faint or are afraid of needles... Come on people, if you are a healthy, balanced individual, there is virtually no harm in helping the world become a better place.

As i always say when campaigning with the LRC: "Merci, bass nshalla ma t3oozoona"
