Well said, bas that's alcohol abuse. Even normal amounts can harm you.

1-I believe the verses are clear is to how it is linked to the devil
2- Not too much according to studies that show that even moderate or little alcohol consumption on a long term basis can have many harmful effects on all systems in the human body.
Click for long term effects of Alcohol
That page includes info on both excessive doses, small, and also regular doses of alcohol. It also includes the beneficial effects.
Clearly the harmful effects outweigh the beneficial ones.

Scare? We're saying it's bad and that is based on scientific studies. If you're referring to the verses from the Koran then that is a whole other topic. That was my answer to Justin based on what he said. Let's stick to science for now.

The immediate effect of drinking alcohol - a feeling of elation or relaxation - is because it has a depressant effect on the brain and central nervous system. It results in a dulling or slowing of a person's reaction times, thoughts and co-ordination

Regardless of which quantity is taken, that is the resulting effect.
This was taken from an article titled "Poison that is healthy in small quantities"
Regardless of the title i can hardly see how healthy it is over the long term, especially when its short term consumption in small quantities can spell disaster.
