Actually I don't usually like Systa's taste, but he is right about this. System of a down had ok albums before. They weren't great or anything to me but those three albums I wouldn't mind listening to them. I used to like SOAD a lot before but now I kinda just found better music.
Metallica is another band that I don't like much anymore. They're barely thrash and their newer albums are awful. Death Magnetic was "ok" but still nowhere near what metal is.
Anyway, Metal aside, what about hard rock ? I'm talking about the hard rock leaning to metal. The kinds of Rainbow and Deep Purple.
I understand people might not like the "death metal noise" from the very start but if you don't like Deep Purple and Rainbow as a start then you're taste in music is just frankly awful.
THE albums to hear ofcourse:
Rainbow:
Rising
Ritchie Backmore's Rainbow
Long Live Rock and Roll
Deep Purple:
In Rock
Machine Head
They have other good albums but those mentioned are the very best and have some of the best songs ever made in the history of the music industry.
If you like them, only then you're sane. Moreover, you might very well learn to appreciate listening to heavier metal.
