Wait wait people, stop throwing analysis left and right and blame the whole world, freedom and aliens for our own problems.
We have serious big problems in Lebanon when it comes to FREEDOM definition.
We have low level of freedom, low level of patriotism, very low level of discipline and that's what is causing the chaos.
I will give you examples:
- When was the last time Lebanese demonstrated for living reasons?
- When was the last time a "non-christian" was a president?
- When was the last time you saw people planting trees?
- When was the last time someone was civilly married or divorced?
- When was the last time you saw people not breaking every single traffic laws?
More examples about our surrounding.
When i went to the south in 2006 just after the war we went to fix a school in Hola village which is on the Lebanese-Israeli borders.
I looked at the Israeli side and saw very nice houses and LOT of PLANTED trees. The Lebanese side was like a desert with rocks.
Have a look:

+ we are the country of the cedars, how many cedar do you see everyday? NONE!
Someone posted on twitter that Syria forbade smoking in public places which i believe is a great step!! knowing that Syria level of freedom is very low.
Someone else replied that it's only an attempt to show they're better than Lebanese when it comes to "Life-style" inno 3anjad malla life style Lebanese have, full of tefshikh w mazahir.
People, if we don't admit that we're in real deep shit on all levels we will never go forward, things should be tackled one my one firmly without zikzak-ing.
I know my reply wasn't only related to freedom, but i'm just trying to show that discipline and patriotism are what causing these problems and that our level of freedom is low.
