A girl called saada was sent by her father when she was 15 to beirut to work for a certain lady. That lady eventually went to france and Saada went back home. On her way she went into a grocer where she asked for a certain bus. The grocer took advantage of the fact that she was so young and gullible and lied to her ( with his wife's help) and said that her village was destroyed and her parents were killed, and made her work for him and his wife in return for food and shelter, without pay. They called her mariam.
When those two died their children "inherited" her and made her work for them. One of the women's husband even raped her on several occasions. When she turned 65, they put her in an home for the elderly and abandoned her ( no compensation for her work). In order to get the documents right they had to go a certain official who was from saada's hometown (don't know the correct term in English) who asked that she comes in person because the picture was not that of mariam ( which happened to be saada's sister). He then took her to her nephew who was also a mokhtar. Who then took her to her sister.
Edit: i forgot to mention the fact that they forged documents using her picture but her sister's data.
Lots of tears were shed, the people then ran away. Prosecution began against the 5 people who took advantage of her, 3 of whom did not show up. She died 2 weeks ago, from a heart attack (Neither she nor her family could afford the medical bills ---> she could not stay in the hospital), and could not be in court to witness the sentence because the was in the hospital at the time.
Her attorney also did everything for free seeing as she could not pay for the legal fees.
Of course those 5 were arrested and charged for denying saada of her liberty, Forcing her to work, raping and "deflowering" her, in addition to forgery.
.........I believe i am with what systa said. Never mind death, they deserve much worse.
