Inter: We'll fight United for Sneijder
Inter Milan last night confirmed that Manchester United want World Cup superstar Wesley Sneijder. Massimo Moratti, owner of the European champions, said: “The interest from Manchester United in Sneijder is real, but I didn’t find it tempting. I’m following him at the World Cup and I think I’ll do the same also at Inter for the next few years.”
Mirror Sport revealed earlier this week that Sir Alex Ferguson was lining up a £25million bid to take the Treble-winning Dutchman to Old Trafford. Sneijder, under contract until 2013, was deemed surplus to requirements by Real Madrid last summer and snapped up by then Inter boss Jose Mourinho.

The Sneijder news dominates the papers today, although the
Daily Star also run a piece on June's Soccer Aid charity game. It claims the match raised £2.75million for UNIECEF, more than double the total from 2008.
Darren Fletcher is also quoted in
The Telegraph on Wayne Rooney. He says the Reds can't afford to rely so heavily on the Englishman's goals this term.
