viruses are not living
it's like a computer program, it has a programing in it, and it acts according to it
it does not eat, it does not reproduce(it copies itself, that is not reproduction) it does not adapt to stuff
the computer virus was named a virus after the biological virus
think of a computer virus
it enters your computer, creates a copy of itself, then sends itself in an email to your friends
this is what it is programmed to do, it cannot change its mind one day and do something else
this is why it is not living, same in biology
the word die means gets destroyed or infective, but it is not living to die like we die
