First, if freedom doesn't have a value to you, it does to me. KSA have super strict restrictions on women but guess what? they have food! :P
Second, who said having a free country won't make their lives even better?
Third, Syria is one of the most corrupted countries let alone the massacres
committed against their own people.
Fourth, if you think so, why wouldn't we have peace with Israel which will bring Lebanon BIG opportunities for better living?
Freedom is simple, let the people decide whom they want and what they want by public transparent elections that don't end with 99.9% to Bachar.
There's no gray about freedom, you either support it or you don't. You can't apply it here and don't apply it there. And the Syrian people deserve freedom!
