Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful the in-form striker will shrug off the knock as his biggest decisions will come in defence with Rio Ferdinand knocking on the door for a timely return.
Most of the injury problems that have plagued the boss recently are beginning to ease ahead of the critical phase of the season.
"Wayne missed training this morning for a good part of it," explained Sir Alex. "He was having treatment. I'm sure he'll be fit for tomorrow.
"We have had some injury problems, particularly in defence. Hopefully that's coming to an end.
"Jonny Evans is available. Ferdinand's been training for over a week now. Whether or not he's ready for this game, I'm not sure. But he's experienced and a fantastic footballer.
"Rafael's available - he's been training all week. John O'Shea and Wes Brown are back. So in defence we're getting better."
In midfield, the game has come too soon for Anderson, even though he is back in training, while Darren Fletcher remains sidelined.
