Re: History Lesson
Here are some informations i got and collect from the internet:
1 - Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
There are many people who have been elected president 100 years apart. And each being assassinated doesn't deepen this coincidence, because we chose two assassinated leaders and then found that by coincidence they were elected 100 years apart.
2 - Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
when two people are separated by X years in history, it seems very likely, that major milestones in their lives are separated by roughly the same increment as well ... however, Kennedy won a Senate seat in 1952, while Lincoln lost his Senate bid in 1858.
3 - Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
It would be more amazing if they hadn't been concerned with civil rights, because civil rights were the social concern of the day in both instances.
4 - Both wives lost their children while living in the White House
the Lincoln's lost three of their four children before the children reached adulthood, however; the Kennedy child died of complications resulting from premature birth.
5 - Both Presidents were shot on a Friday
Lincoln was actually shot on Thursday and died on Friday, whereas Kennedy was shot and died on Friday
6 - Both Presidents were shot in the head
When someone is trying to kill a person, they will likely shoot them in the head. It is more effective than shooting them in another part of the body. So this is entirely expected.
7 - Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.
Lincoln had no secretary named Kennedy after searching the web
8 - Both were assassinated by Southerners
Lincoln was assassinated by a guy from Maryland which is a border state and not a southern state.
9 - Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Each was a northern politician trying to win an election by choosing a southern running mate. Things that people do by design are not coincidences
10 - Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
It isn't as though Johnson is a strange last name, in addition to that 100 year separation again
11 - John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
John Wilkes Booth was actually born in 1838
12 - Both assassins were known by their three names
killers are often known by their full names and that this may be applied to each assassin
13 - Both names are composed of fifteen letters
this is a very common thing, and names could be written as anyone wish
14 - Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln' made by 'Ford.'
this is corrected coz previously it was said that Lincoln was shot at a theater named "kennedy" ... so no comment on this one
15 - Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater
the assassin of Lincoln was caught in a tobacco shed on a farm
16 - Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials
Booth died in a gunbattle, so reports of his assassination are highly exaggerated
17 - A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe died over one year before Kennedy's assassination ... and there is no Monroe, Maryland known to the U.S. Post Office
in conclusion ... there is a lot of similarities both guys shared but when putted together they tend to be exagerated
Thank You ...
