Well, as you know, in 2001 Jason Newsted (The Bassist) left the band after more than 14 years of performance together.. He just took all his guitars and stuffs and gone away, they called him and got an answer: "Right now I'm not a Metallica, leave me alone, I need to take care of myself, goodbye !" He said later in the Metallica MTV Icon that he was chosen to not be married or to have children because of wasting time in the band, as a reason for leaving. Anyway, the 3 other members was SHOCKED ! Especially James Hetfield the leader. So he starts drinking alcohol, again. And he stayed away from the band for about 1 year ! So when he came back, the band was almost gone for good.. But they recorded a new album called "St. Anger" with the band director Bob Rock on the bass guitar. They picked up a new excellent bassist called Robert Trujillo, an Ozzy Osbourne ex-bassist. But the St. Anger album was so.. WEIRD ! I mean, it's not Metallica's style ! I never find any solo for Kirk Hammett (the lead guitarist) in the whole album. And this is the special thing in the band's style for me. So ! I guess it was the main reason for not having a kick ass album this time. We also was talking about this The Lizard King and I in 1 May on the beach , he said a great idea about St. Anger being sucks because James Hetfield was always drunk while creating all the Metallica albums But not this time ..
Now I'm expecting a REAL heavy album, because Metallica is back on stage with a huge Welcome Back from the fans all over the world, and they also have an extra good bassist, never been in their performances after Clifford Lee Burton's death on 1986
