Default Re: Corel Draw

let's draw a circle and make it looks 3d
1) open corel draw
2) click on the circle icon at the left of the screen

3) in the sheet border (this border is unprintable , it's just to let you knwo the extremities of the paper you use )
draw a cirlce , HOLD CTRL while drawing to make it a real cirlce

4) you may after drawing play with its size by dragging one of the black boxes or simply go enter your desired values in the dynamic bar at the top of the sheet ( you must be selecting the circle to view these options , otherwise , you must see the options of the paper )

5) now go to fill it with gradient color

el satol = ta3bi2a dekhliye = in_color = fill color
el 2alam stylo = ta3bi2a kharjie = out_color = Stroke

we have to click for sure on the boil , and we may choose what tyoe of filling we want for our cirlce ,feel free and try all of them

for our exercice , i picked the second icon ( gradient one with black and white )
click it

6)and a new window will show up with the FOUNTAIN filling setup

7) click on type to select other than STRAIGHT gradient type

8) choose radial

9) notice that the gradient form is previewed at your right in the same window

10 ) move your mouse over the white spot , oops , you may move it ? right ?
of course you can , move it to the highest right corner
or simply enter the value whre you want to be the white spot ( central offset)

11) now , we want to change the colors other than black and white ,
let's choose for example the deep blue and the light blue
( deep blue is the dark side of the sphere / light blue is where the light hits the sphere )

FROM = choose a deep blue
TO = choose a light blue

12 ) OK for all
and the circle shood look like this

13) now we have to get rid of the black stroke , how ?
simpy RIGHT click on the X icon in the color bar
(you must be selecting the circle to apply this command )

now our circle looks like a sphere , but it is not convincing ! what we should do to make it good ?

of course we need a shadow

MAKING the SHADOW

1) select the circle ( only hit it )
2) press the + in the number pad

now you have an exact clone of the circle in the exact position of the original one

3) hit the circle again and move it to the right the selected to differ the copied from the original

NOTE : COREL DRAW arrange the object from bottom ( older ) to top ( newer )
so the copied circle is thrown to the top of the object whiel it is the newest object drawn ,

4) now select the left sphere
goto color bar , LEFT click on a gray color to make it gray

5) drag the middle upper black box of its and squeeze it to change its size in Y_axis

6) now move it to look like my image below

7 ) click in an empty area to deselect all

ENJOY
