التقى الأمين العام لـ"حزب الله" السيد حسن نصرالله على رأس وفد قيادي من "حزب الله" الرئيس الايراني محمود أحمدي نجاد في العاصمة السورية دمشق حيث جرى البحث في آخر التطورات في المنطقة ولا سيما التهديدات الاسرائيلية ضد لبنان وسوريا.

وقد حضر اللقاء كل من رئيس الهيئة الشرعية في حزب الله الشيخ محمد يزبك ورئيس المجلس السياسي في الحزب السيد ابراهيم أمين السيد والمعاون السياسي للسيد نصرالله الحاج حسين الخليل. كما شارك في اللقاء عن الجانب الايرني وزير الخارجية منوشهر متكي والسفير الايراني في سوريا أحمد الموسوي.
من جهة ثانية أقام الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد مأدبة عشاء على شرف الرئيس نجاد بحضور السيد نصرالله. وقد حضر المأدبة أعضاء الوفدين الرسميين السوري والايراني وعدد من المسؤولين السوريين والوفد المرافق للسيد نصرالله.

Nothing is wrong, and it's a shame that the Lebanese president wasn't there.
The Lebanese government should take a clear position, we are a part of this alliance and we have no choice.
Our country's interests fits there. we cannot be a part of another alliance or aside as long as Israel is occupying parts of our country and threatening us daily.
Iran and Syria are currently our only allies, and our only shelter in case of war!!

We're already at war. The Israelis daily intrusions in our air, land and sea space is by common international standards acts of war, however low intense that war is. As a good shelter, me i'd settle for efficient Anti-Aircraft missiles able to shoot down their warplanes, today as well as in the case of "more war". Can/will "our only allies" provide us with these?

If not, I'd still appreciate those allies financial contributions and work on building even better shelters like those solid well-built concrete shelters for housing thousands of civilians during an upcoming "more war". I'd also try to build up genuine - not fuxed up - national unity, strengthen a system of state whereby proper war planning and preparation, on national level, can be conducted..

Sometimes it gets confusing when one comes to think of what's more decisive on the outcome: The evil itself, in motion, or the self-imposed state of mind of that evils potential pray?

are you serious ?
it's not possible to build such shelters that can handle against weapons of mass destruction which Israel has.

Where shall i start, Kain? So many different evils and so same one set of troubled minds.. When real - or imaginary - threatning evil manages to finally make you accept as a fact of life that you indeed are its prey, its victim, and that you ought to act accordingly, then you're done.

Being the unfortunate components of a multi-layered, turbo-sectarian, ongoing and turbulant experiment, it seems that we, the wannabe citizens of lebanon, have succumbed to this our misfortune and since long have accepted it as our sealed fate: We'll dress like preys on a hunt, walk like preys, run like preys, pray like preys and consequently remain so.. We've defined ourselves as the victims of evil and thus resistants against that evil, call the evil Israel, Syria, the palestinians, americans, saudis or our own flawed system, and we'll proceed from here.

X-ray our current collective state of mind, and you'll notice disorientation, weariness, nervousness and unbalance: Victims, akh ya mama, destined to keep seeking salvage, safety and defense against SOME EVIL. Could it be so that it is precisely this combination of troubled state of mind together with an obsession in wanting to defend ourselves against a stronger and much hated hunter that keeps us busy looking in the wrong direction for the tools to secure our survival with? It takes only a month or two of devastating airraid bombardements, and we're swapped 30 years back in time, into the same starting loop of victimzation.. Thereafter we declare ourselves victorious only because we succeeded in not dying, all of us, as the hunting enemy probably planned to.. And the evil, well it dusts off few scratches from its surface and proceeds forward, into a normal life cycle.

Now you may ask: your blablabla may be true, but what's your point?
Here's my point: We drove the israelis and syrians out, we still have the palestinians to manage and we're not able as of yet to shuffle over the israelis into the sea with less than waving with a ready to launch Mega Bomb. Yet we still want to protect ourselves from their evil. What are our most beneficial options to secure the best possible outcome for us out of this our prevailing disorder? Can we do better than repeating useless mantras like "we shall overcome..one day", and stocking half useless missiles unable to bring down one single annoying airoplane overflying our skies?

- Yes we can, if we decide to disengage from those emotional and yet so attracting religious and historical drives that help enforce our self identification as preys. Shut off that melancolic yearning for martyrdom and start planning for the best possible life we can offer our people. Unite, genuinly. Befriend our worst domistic nightmares, reconcile with our fears. This is a mission best carried out immediatly by that bunch of mediocrites we call leaders.

- Let the shia, through Hizbollah, throw open that Ace of Spade they hold up their sleeves and ask to trade their arms for a genuin secular system, whereby everyone is garantied true citizenship, not tribalship or sectarian belonging. Wave publically good night to Wilayat Al Faqih - it will never see the light anyway - and say Good Morning to the state of Lebanon where religious mantras are kept inside worshiper's houses of God. Let the others go ahead with such proposal.

- Rebuild the army, and make it stronger, by using our regional allies (and not vice versa). Relax on the trigger and focus on the economy, infrastructure and education. Cease to be the prey, always on the run and always seeking defense, and become a hunter, it all starts in the mind.

Not all bombs fired at us were of mass destruction caliber. In fact those were a fraction of what the Israelis threw at us. Would you let your people, as in 2006, flee in open fields, in cars and trucks when trying to escape, and become easy to shoot at targets, rather than have them run to some decently constructed solid shelters where they could at least get some protection?
