لم يوفر كامبياسو إنتقاداته لمدرب منتخب الأرجنتين دييغو أرماندو مارادونا،فبعد إنتهاء مباراة دوري الأبطال وفوز الإنتر باللقب أعرب اللاعب الأرجنتيني عن فرحه الكبير ولكنه شن هجوما على مارادونا موجها له إتهامات كبيرة.
وقال كامبياسو:"هكذا أرد على مارادونا بالفوز بالألقاب التي لطالما حلم بها، على الإتحاد الأرجنتيني ان يعيد النظر بقرار تعيين هذا المدرب،وقد ظهر الفريق في التصفيات بشكل ضعيف لم نشهده من قبل في عهد أي مدرب رغم وجود الكثير من اللاعبين المميزين.
لا أقول هذا التصريح من أجلي فقط وإنما من أجل زانيتي الذي اُثبت أنه أبرز لاعب في خط الوسط وهو في سن 36،نتمنى التوفيق لمنتخبنا ولكننا خائفون في ظل إشراف مارادونا عليه

صرّح المدرب ذو الأصول الأرجنتينية للمنتخب التشيلي فيسينتي كانتاتوري لصحيفة ماركا الإسبانية أنّ مارادونا لا يستحق أن يكون مدرباً لمنتخب الأرجنتين معتبراً أنّه يفتقد لأبسط المؤهلات التي تجعله قادراً على قيادة المنتخب الأرجنتيني. واعتبر أنّ خوليو غروندونا رئيس الإتحاد الأرجنتيني هو المسؤول عن اختياره لهذا المنصب وانتقد بشدة الخسارة بسداسية أمام بوليفيا وأضاف " أعلم أنّ اللعب على المرتفعات يتتطلب جهداً أكثر لكن الخسارة بهذا الشكل ليس مقبولاً".

المدرب تشيلي رشّح إسبانيا للفوز ببطولة العالم مع ثلاث فرق أخرى، واعتبر أنّ تشيلي لن يكون فريساً سهلاً لإسبانيا وأيّ فريق آخر.

100% I don't like Zannetti at all (juve fan) but I have much respect for him. Cambiasso is very good too, he should be in the WC. He chose Veron! WTF ?! I think veron used to play when maradona used to play himself :P

lol I actually watched Veron with Argentine in the qualifiers and with Estudiantes ( against Barcelona in club cup final), he was just walking, especially in the Barcelona match, they went extra time and he could barely breathe I thought he was going to die. loool. Maradona is such a joke he's unbelievable. Not only did he leave Zanetti and Cambiasso, he also left Banega and Lucho Gonzalez and Riquelme, etc, and guess who he took ? Guitterez , some useless player who would never be equal to those mentioned above even if he had Maradona's feet implanted into him. The midfield will be so horrible,and the defense needs a good fullbacks like Zanetti. I can't believe Maradona is doing this. Argentine have some of their best players in history and this is their best chance to win a WC, and he is ruining it, the Argentine football federation is a joke.
