US warship is in the lebanese sea range!

"The United States has ordered a warship
to take up position off the coast of Lebanon
in a show of support for the country's
embattled government.

The deployment of the USS Cole is being
seen as a warning to Syria which - along
with Iran - backs the opposition.


The Western-backed government and the
opposition have repeatedly failed to agree a
deal to end political impasse.
A US official quoted by news agencies said
the move was "a show of support for regional stability".
"We are very concerned about the situation in Lebanon.
It has dragged on very long," the unnamed senior US
official told Reuters news agency.

A US defence official quoted by Reuters said the
USS Cole, a guided-missile destroyer, had left
Malta on Tuesday and was heading toward Lebanon.
He stressed that once in position, it would not be
within visible range of Lebanon but "well over the horizon".

The news agency said the official had indicated
that the destroyer could be replaced by the USS
Nassau, an amphibious assault ship, which is
currently heading towards the Mediterranean."

whether the lebanese government knows or not such dumb action would have no real results :s inno maybe they didnt learn the message well when their baracks have been bombed anyways let's wait and see what will the opposition and HA say bout that

That's what the US and the Lebanese government want. They want HA to say something hastily which they then will misquote and gather worldwide opinion against HA.

you have a point in that ,what's important now is that the opposition makes good use of this move to support its pt of view and to fix it that the Americans were and will always be the source of conflict !

Well i think the biggest favor that the USA gave to the opposition was this stupid step of sending some kind of military ship to our waters. In this step they showed that:

1- USA is interfering directly in the lebanese matters.

2- USA has a great intention of taking us to a war zone

3- USA puppets in lebanon have no word to say about foreign interference

4- USA plan to try to demolish Hizbullah in all ways possible
