what malouka said is right,not just no wasta no work,in come cases u need wasta to get accepted to a certain uni... it happed to my friends who applied for the faculty of engineering @ lebanese uni..

Well , wasnt for the wasta , i wouldnt be where i am now , my BT 3 years studying in the technical school was done by a waste by " Amal " [tho i hate this fact ] , my discount for the uni was done also by an amal wasta . and last to work at the macdonalds , ill need a wasta from amal

yeah wasta in lebanon is a very important thing sadely....and actually it can make l oumme wl fechil a very important man and he can take the place of a person who studied and has an high level of education......and about the wasta we can ask mr phenomenal about it and let him explain to us how it works:P(tefjir w darak w klashen:P)

ill tell you about my neighbour(wont say names) , he lives 10 meters away from me , hes " ra2ees baladiyi " of a village in the south ,hes illiterate (oume) doesnt know how to write or read, he finished only the 5th or 6th grade...now haidi Qommi bel wastat
