Guns at home

My father fought in the civil war so he kept guns rifles and even some grenades. He gave the weapons and grenades away but left a gun and a AK-47. I think in a country like Lebanon, you should have a gun. In principle I am kind of against it but there is no security here. If all people are not allowed to have a gun then fine, but for example here two people might get in a fight over a simple parking problem ( or traffic problems) and if it escalates and one has a weapon, the other would die if he has no weapon to protect himself in return. That and other incidents.

The right to bear arms isn't just a civil right in some countries, like the US. But, it is a basic human right. Having weapons is something essential for everyone, especially people in harm's way.
To give an example, my mother was almost killed twice on LF checkpoints. If not for her 5.5mm pistol, God knows what could have happened.
I once read an extremely nice quote, it goes: "God created men, Mr. Colt made them all equal" (Colt is the designer of the first revolver pistol)

I am from Zgharta, and inherently i guess, i am very passionate about weapons. We have an array of weapons from different categories, all licensed by the way. My father is fond of collectible handguns, me however, i prefer submachine guns.

We always keep a firearm close. You never know what may happen. I would rather have it on my criminal record than have my name in the obituaries for protecting myself or someone i love.

we have 5 shotguns at home they are used for hunting.

i am against holding guns for personal use.
