2 years ago i would solve it in 2 sec

i have been away from math and formulas for almost 3 years,
I have to start studying these again, my master studies relies purely on math analysis.

sin^2+cos^2=1
get cos and use the third quadrant hint
tan=sin/cos and kick your playstation

My teacher just sent me an e-mail saying this is wrong. But I can't find the error.
Is there a genius in shining armour who can tell me if I'm correct?

z=a+bi
z+iz=3

3=a+bi+ai+bi^2
3=a+bi+ai-b

3=a-b
0=a+b
b=-a
3=a-(-a)=2a
a=1,5
b=-a=-1,5

z=a+bi=1,5-1,5i

Try calculating the root and replace infinity with it.
