Mac OS vs. External HDD

Although I know that most of you guys are Apple and Macintosh haters for no specific or logical reason, but I'm going to share with you my problem.

I'm on a MacBook, and facing some difficulties in finding a solution after several tries and research about how to connect my external hard disk drive to this system. Mac computers use the format type Mac OS X Journaled. Most external hard drives come formatted as either FAT32 or NTFS by default. In fact, I have copied like 500 GB of data using my Windows system in Lebanon.

So, matter of fact, all the found results are related to formatting the HDD to convert it into Mac OS X. Even though I've experienced many success on connecting my HDD on other Mac systems. But I still need to connect it with no risk of data loss.

Any suggestions ?

I don't know much about apple devices but here's something:
solution #1
go to a computer with a large HD and with windows installed
copy your HD data to it.
format your HD to the mac format
then copy back the data to the mac formatted hd

Search on Google for a software called NTFS 3G for Mac. Download the software and install it. You'll be able to open an NTFS volume on Mac with read and write privilege. Remember that you have to do this on every mac you want to use your HDD on it.

The ultimate solution is to copy the entire content of you HDD to the OS that recognize you HDD, then use Disk Utility in Mac to format your HDD as MS-DOS FAT, this will allow you to use your HDD on mac and windows without any problem.

I can't find the problem. MAC OS X can read FAT-32 file systems.
