Bundesliga lol that league that even now in it's "reemerging era" to take over Serie A still can't have more than one team (Bayern Munich) do anything decent in Champions League ? Yes the league may have a good foundation, but the only thing that keeps them getting high coefficient is the EL where their teams do everything there. Even Borussia Dortmund who have one of the biggest chances ever to get the Bundesliga title still are giving their best to qualify in the EL, and fielded a starting formation against a very weak side last EL match although when you're that ahead in the domestic league it makes sense to keep focusing on it solely and putting all the other competitions aside. If you're Manchester United who get league titles all the time and have the means to fight in two or more competitions, then it's expected to fight for many titles, but Dortmund doing it just shows how highly they look at EL even now. That's just one example of Bundesliga team. On the other side you get Palermo who play their B-team although they are not challenging for anything worthwhile in the Italian league. Even CL spot isn't really a motive for them but they're definitely not looking to win the league and despite that, the only one competition they can actually do anything in and they decide to completely neglect it, Zamparini said that to him it's like winning a Banana. Not saying the attitude of Serie A teams is pleasing, but it's one of the many reasons why Bundesliga appears to be a better league now. The point is CL winning has no advantage over EL winning, so no matter how good Serie A teams do in CL ( 3 titles in last 10 years and 2 runner ups distributed over 3 teams) they will still be challenged in coefficients as Bundesliga gather a lot of points more in EL.
Having said that, Bundesliga as I pointed out earlier have created a good foundation to build upon, and they try as hard to manage everything well and preserve a good financial health, however, they are poor, the game play is poor, it's just group of headless players with no tactics. They need coaches, they need some high profile players in many teams, the only thing that gives them some advantage is the youth sector that produces a lot of decent players, but when will the league move the next step ? Even in a poor state of Serie A for instance there are still Milan, Inter and Roma that can pose threats for any team. Bundesliqa on the other hand only has Bayern yet again. Once they have like 2 more teams that can at least be worthy of the 4 CL spots that Bayern and the EL teams are providing for them from now on, maybe then they can become a truly potent league. Bundesliga debate kind of reminds me of Arsenal, they are doing well and have the basics done right but when will they try to finally move to a winning zone ? |

True, and I don't think that either is wrong.

@KEX
I just read your misguiding documentary, claiming serie A being better than the bundesliga. Let me tell you this, there are 2 german teams who finished top if their group in the current champions league, while the reason why the third didn't manage to qualify is the many injuries and the fact that they were dumb to sell Özil. The italian teams qualified all second of their groups, with milan and inter barely making it. Now back to the leagues, serie A matches are so slow and so boring. While bundesliga matches doo nour scale to those of the premiere league, they are good on their own. About high profile players, go count the castrol ranking top 100, bundesliga has 15 players while the serie A has 10 (these are slightly old stats). Well, Nuri Sahin is a high profile player, so is Mario Götze and Marko Marin and Arturo Vidal, not zanetti, not pirlo, and no longer del piero

As for two qualifying top of their groups, it really means nothing in the end like all past years they go out and we are left with only Bayern. You have to look at the competition overall ( and for the past years) not simple stages. I mean even Kobenhavn qualified to second stage. Castrol rankings are also laughable, do you know Rooney is in the top 5 or something ? There is also a huge majority as I said being Bayern players like always and some of them are overrated incredibly like Demichelis being in top 100 is a joke for sure. Won't go into details but it definitely means nothing. Good for commercial purposes only. Also having mentioned Sahin and Gotze and even Vidal, they are players in the making, plus how likely it is they will be sold in a short while like Ozil? How likely it is they will move Dortmund or Leverkusen to the next level and make them a top class team ? Seriously, we've been waiting and waiting and up till now German teams look weak and incapable. Once it comes to big boys fighting only Bayern looks like they can be a threat. Bundesliga is also inferior tactically. That's why you say you enjoy the football. A team with some confidence or form can take advantage so easily and there is no tactical approach to make the league stable. Even up till now in the league, it doesn't look shaped yet performance-wise ( not result-wise), and no it's not because they are all good teams and close in quality but because it's tactical mish-mash. |

![]() Then check Serie A's table, and look at the point difference between the teams, every team can beat the other team you can see that from the fixtures. We have world top teams like juve milan roma inter and good quality teams like napoli palermo fiorentina sampdoria. IMO the best leagues are the italian one and the english one. People like the spanish league because lots of goals are scored in that league due to it's wide difference in level. As well as it's two top rich teams are a host of the world superstar players. As it was always, kids cheer a certain team because a certain fan-favorite player plays for that team. We have seen last year how teams like barcelona and real madrid failed against italian teams like inter and juve respectively.

@Neo: not very convincing, Palemro w Lazio w Roma aren't as good and entertaining as u're making them sound, I watch all leagues and i've given u my thoughts, Italian league is good but it's only number 3 or 4 (competing with Germany) in Europe, as for Juve and Inter beating Spain's big two, u can't think football like that
enno look at this season, Inter got whipped w bearly tol3o 2nd, Milan got man-handled by Real w Juve didn't even make it past the group stages bl Europa League (I wanted them to knock City out sara7a bas.. ) so dunno leh l "to3fit" for a certain league, i've listed up above what I think w I still stand by it [underlining that the competition between the Italian and German league is a very narrow one]

juve and inter last season not this one.
italian teams don't focus on europe more than they do on the calcio, expection is milan. german league is full of shit, every one knows that the biggest three leagues are the english italian and spanish, there's no player that dreams of playing in the "german league". kthxbai.
