Mtc has launched recently a new service in which you can pick two numbers that you can call for a deducted fee of 30% less.

meaning instead of charging you 0.36$ a minute , they would charge you 0.252 $ a minute. i thought that its a good move towards better and cheaper services, then i decided to do it and i got this.

“Friends and Family” service allows the customer to benefit from a 30% discount on calls to two local numbers of his choice. To activate the service, “magic” customer should call the number 1344 after which a monthly fee of three dollars (USD 3) will apply. If the customer wishes to change one of the two numbers, he will need to pay one dollar (USD 1).

i was really disappointed when i read that! a 3$ will be deducted from your balance when you participate in this service.

if we do some calculations, in order to benefit from this service you need to talk at least a total of 10$(that way you save the 3$ that was deducted) thus only 7$ will be deducted from your balance.

if we anticipate that a person uses only a 22.73$ card each month(which most of the mobile users do) they would still have 12.7$ if they use them for talking not for messaging they would save 3.8$.

So the real saving would be 17% only, THAT IS IF your whole card for talking not for messaging!
If you talk for less than 10$ you would be losing dollars for nothing.

why cant they just give us a 16% direct discount to 2 numbers we choose , why the F&*^& do they have to do these games!
