I think this is how it works everywhere, not just in Lebanon, but still you can find public beaches, free for everyone (like Ramle el Baida)...

You guys have a point, no one has the right to OWN a beach. I don't want to go off topic but let me ask you this, who has the right to prevent any human being from traveling from a country to another? Aren't all the lands made for humans? Who owns them? The Government? says whom? God? Humans? Animals? insects? ... I believe that we are free to go wherever we want. If you travel through airplane, do you see any lines drown across the countries that specifies which land is Lebanon and which land is Syria and where the Palestine borders starts and etc...? the answer is NO.
Therefore, Humans created those rules to make life easier, you cannot go to any beach that you want, some beaches are for free (makabb nifeyet) and some other beaches are highly expensive (Wonderful) and in order to keep those beaches wonderful, someone has to take care of them and benefit from them and give the government a percentage of that profit. In this case, everyone is benefiting: 1- The beach owner: is gaining money 2- The government : percentage, teshilet 3- You: having fun and enjoying your day 4- Beach: clean, fresh and beautiful Everyone is happy, now plan for a beach party event ![]()

You speak like this, but if you had the money and you were into istethmar business you would've done the same. It brings crazy money. Who ever cared about the nature?! LOLz

the state can take care of them without making them privately owned. What's the use of making them "better" if many people can't go there ?

it's not about what the current situation offers, it's about morals and rights. People should have equal access to these beaches and that can only be done if it's provided to them for free where the state makes some changes and adjustments to them. It doesn't have to be the most perfect beach ever ( although it can ) but it's just important to have that equal access. sar el wahed min awel ma byikhla2 bil balad wkil ma biddo yimshee mitr la eddem baddo yekhod 7seb if it's his or not.
