I intended to open a new thread for this issue because I really need the realistic and the most beneficial advices from all who have the suitable background info about this subject .. I am an OGERO user and I decided to switch to a Private ISP. I'm confused toward which ISP to subscribe with - IDM or Sodetel. Which one is better from the technical side and also from the monetary side ? I want some advices on basis that I want to subscribe either for the 1MB speed or the 2MB speed .. Thanks in advance. |

Go with sodetel, though im an IDM user, bas the packages @ sodetel are really better
![]() check their website, they have 4mbps/15 GB for 40$, while IDM offers 2mbps/11Gb for 35$

for higher speeds sodetel is better, if you want 2 mbps or 4 etc... they are cheap. however for 1 mbps packages terra net is better(not sure about IDM) because sodetel sells the 1 mbps package with 6 GB quota for 22$ it does not have a 10 GB quota for that speed.
so what poackage do you have in mind?

Well, let's say that of course I don't need the 4mbps speed, and it's also an "up to" 4MB .. but regarding the speed and many other technical stuff, is there any difference between IDM and Sodetel ? or just Sodetel is better in the packages ?! Quote:
Terranet ? the problem is that I never saw anyone here praising Terranet !! |

my friends bel day3a 3endon terra net. you get a free wireless router(saving you like 55-80$) but you need to remain with them for at least a year or they will take it away
the router comes locked from terra net and you cannot open it unless the tech support authorizes it(I spent an hour on the phone at my neighbor's place to sort shit out, my neighbor does not know anything about routers and he just wanted a simpler wireless password other than the default complicated one they give) anyway halla2 in the village the new speeds were not implemented I am guessing it is the same for all companies, but the ping is 100 ms... so I guess terra net is as good as any tab one last question, where do you live, do your neighbors have unlimited night traffic? ![]() I should remind you download and upload now merged into one quota, sodetel's quotas are very small compared to the speeds, meaning 10 GB quota for 2 mbps equals you can only use your full internet speed 30 min a day only if you want to keep up the monthly quota, so it is very useless to go high speed with sodetel unless you can get unlimited night traffic from 12 to 8

the sodetel unlimited is buggy between 7 and 8 am, so I stop my downloads at 7...
the unlimited depends on the central used this is why I said you should ask your neighbors :P maba3ref weyn haret hreik aslan anyway if there is unlimited then you won't need a lot of quota then go with sodetel and pick a package bigger than 1 mbps
