استشهد أحمد علي محمود وجرح ثلاثة آخرون في اعتداء من قوى الغالبية الوهمية على موكبهم، وهم في طريق العودة من مكان الإعتصام في ساحتي الشهداء ورياض الصلح. وأفاد أقارب المغدور أن الموكب تعرض لإلقاء حجارة، ثم لقنابل صوتية، فإطلاق رصاص. وأفاد أحد اطباء مستشفى الساحل حيث نقل المغدور أنه مصاب بأكثر من طلق ناري، خصوصًا في بطنه، وأنه نزف كثيرًا ولم تنفع كل المحاولات لإنقاذ
