i have kinda of similar question cause i know shit about laptops.
is it fine to leave the laptop turned on for about 12 hours straight? or it's ok just a desktop computer? i have an HP Compaq. Thanks in advance.

xcoder your P4 laptop will overheat quickly, cuz P4 is based on the power consuming and ""heaty"" netburst architechture, while newer core 2 duo and core duo and core solo that are based on the core architechture are better in power consumption and operate on lower temperature and can be turned on longer.
