Syria in Annapolis ....
At first, the US was very obstinate in not including Syria in the so called peace conference . It refused literally even including the Golan in the talk..
That was before.
Today, Syria was invited and will attend, the Golan will be included and there are even talks that there might be a conference for the Golan alone. The US on the other hand praised the help of Syria in the decrease of violence in Iraq.
Do you smell what I smell ?
Is it the reason of Walid Jumblat sudden calm and peace ?
A final thought, in Pakistan the US is retreating from its number one ally Mucharraf and now siding with the opposition.
Whoever thought that the US is a strategic and long term ally is wrong and should reconsider its position. Countries are anot Caritas and they only care about their interest which is legitimate.
