BETA rescues an abused lion in Beirut

BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is a lebanese NGO working to ensure that one day all the animals in Lebanon will get the chance to live the life they deserve because it is their plant too... Through education and direct action, BETA rescues stray and abused animals, while combating abusive pet shops and the illegal trade in wildlife.
One of the major rescues BETA did was of a neglected and starving 2-year old lion cub in Karantina area on thursday 27 august.

systamatics, have u ever heard of Mahatma gandhi's saying: "the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated"? i should see the greatnessin this country!
ppl in srilanka are extremely poor and ill, and their situation is much much worse than ours, yet they give even little food to strays and they do not harm them.
the matter here is not about helping ppl or helping animals. it's the animals' planet too, toherwise they wouldn't have existed. and they are far more vulnerable than ppl.
we are hurting no1, we r attacking no1. he who offers to help us is most welcome and there is no need for such comments. if u care so much about ppl being poor and helpless, u can go help them. no1 is forcing any1 to help animals here.

Stop talking about y3eesho el ness. We could have been a great country. We (the people) chose not, so put the blame on us. Having said that, animals don't have to suffer because of our choices. 3anjad ni7na sha3eb bajam. We only want to act european with our dresses and our prestige and our walks but when it comes to the most important things we decide not to. Khlosna. It's great to hear about such organizations in Lebanon. In the midst of chaos and corruption and neglegence , they are trying to maintain a certain level of civlization.
About needy people, they are better of getting 1,000 dollars every four years for the elections and selling the potential of a proper life.

I really don't care about neither humans nor animals
evolution has to take place, weak individuals should die for the quality of life and society to improve
it is not my job to feed and take care of someone else's kids, whether he is an animal or a fellow human, you can't feed them, don't have them, that's the plain and simple logic that would have made human life much better
africans have 4.8 child per woman on average, keep them starving until they learn that sex will get them nowhere, giving them bread is only allowing them to live and give birth even more. last time I checked, we kill the parasites in our garden because they are taking away nutrients from the producing plants, we don't feed the parasites until they fill the earth
I'm not gonna donate to anyone or any animal so they can get laid.

u can choose not to help any1, but let me tell u that animals nurse other animals, smtimes of different species. do u think that animals are better than u?
as for not feeding africans, well, if we follow the same logic, we should not feed half of the world if not more, including ppl in our arab world.

I was just giving my opinion
I give donations just as any other person, ma 7a eb5ol 3a alef lira on every donation campaign
bas I really believe to solve the root of the problem, money won't cut it and helping will not change the world
we need rules, we need birth control. so I help a guy he gives birth to 5 kids, I didn't make the world better, I made it worse

I help people that were living well and then they had some sort of accident or disease that was unexpected, in that case it was not their fault w 7aram they will need help
bas I don't like helping someone who dug his own grave by giving birth to kids he knows he could not feed

I don't believe animals are better than humans, or vice versa, I believe we are equal, they have their enviroment where they live comfrotably in, and we have ours, if I trade places with a money or a whale I'd die in less than a day and vice versa

but I like to see some long term solutions instead of send bread to the hungry african kid

we can flood africa with bread, but if they don't stop having 5 kids per woman, it's useless, eventualy they will eat all the bread and they will starve again, that's what I'm saying, these help methods are not making them richer, they are just making us poorer

i see ur point and u have reminded me of an important thing when u spoke of irresponsible breeding and solutions. our dogs and cats are all spayed and neutered bcz we are fighting overpopulation. so this is part of the solution regarding animals. as for humans.... oh well, u can try to educate the poor ones who breed a lot and still give them food but education is the key. the problem in africa is that ppl were abused for so long they are now killing each other for no reason so many of them do not have time for education. besides, africans are not the threat to the world's riches bcz 1st, africa is the sourse of all riches and 2nd, bcz most african children die of aids, malaria, cholera and other diseases. so if u do the math, how many child remains of the 4.8 children born to every african woman?

back to the animals, one should not necessarily have to like animals but what they must not do is abuse them. it is plain cruel and simply wrong. if u harm an animal u can easily harm a human being. abuse was the case of the lion whose owner did nthg but keeping him in a lousy cage with almost no food or water. why did he have to take the lion from his environment to emprison him? this is the main issue here. and if permanently granted to BETA, the lion will hopefully be sent to a sanctuary outside lebanon.

they spent billions and billions since 1940 on africa, ma ka2an nba3at dollar
organisation, planning, starting small, step by step, one region at a time. millions are dying bas throwing bread around is not exactly ending anything

they plan aid in territories, UN centers make it clear for the population that if you give birth for more than 1 child, you get nothing, w they apply this rule, w metel el chater they will only give birth to one kid
if they don't let them die, and I insist on let the ones that were warned die

my plan might be a 100 years plan, but it will get somewhere, and from the start, little regions will improve permanently and diseases there will be controlled
the past 70 years got nowhere, they are still telling you "your dollar will feed an african kid" since before I was born and they will always be hungry
