how will my pc transmit ?? i dont have a wireless port or watever it is called , what do i need to get

Get an external wireless adapter.

I have an old cable (subscription) to the internet. I never updated to wireless connection and routers. And I always suffered from not being able to connect to internet via my cell phone at home. Will this program be my savior?

this is only compatible with widows 7
is there another version that works on my vista?

I think you can already do that if you take a connection from a wire, and create a wireless network, and you allow computers to connect to the internet through you...

No. But this is written in C# and it is open-source so you can take the code and modify it to work on Vista. Hint: Visual studio.

No. I use it as a wireless repeater.

i don't know y i'm getting the "Virtual Router could not be started" message every time i press the start button... i have a laptop with windows 7 on it, am i missin something? any help would be appreciated

Because you have the shared connection empty in your program...
What you should do is try to connect to a wireless network before you click on start virtual router and then refresh for that somthing shows up in the shared network...
