i hate every little insect (including fourmis) and it's not only fear it's more like disgust
"Lebanese spiders" aren't harmful but i can't help it i do not like them

it doesen't have anything to do with girls and it's not related to girls !
everyone can have Arachnophobia, insects for me are disgusting and personally i usually don't kill them because bi2arfouleh 7ayeteh !

So if girls know why, it won't be a phobia, it would be a legitimate fear

You gotta be cautious of spiders, some of them are poisonous, and as El-Meghwar said, all insects are disgusting in general

i for one think that fear of spiders or insects comes from the fact that ur first contact with such insects when u were little was a negative one, where some1 pointed out their fear/disgust in front of u, plus all the talk u hear abt other ppl's thoughts... im sure that if u were raised thinking that spiders were the cutest little creatures ever, u wouldnt have had the same fear/disgust u have now... i've seen and killed many insects and animals far worse than spiders in my scouting years, and once u get in such situations, u realize the reality of the fear u had before, and how silly it was. u can actually change that fear, bcuz it is mostly based on ignorance.
