hey, i have a ps3 and i have to update it so i can play online , but i've been told that if while i'm updating it the electricity gone sometimes the ps3 will not work anymore. so i'm thinking if there is anyway to download the update on my laptop than put it on the usb and update the ps3 via usb. is there such a way? and if not , anyone know how much time it will take to update it to version 3.1

You can download the update installation file on a USB stick, but you will still have to preform the install. Although I don't think a powercut would cause something as drastic as the PS3 not ever working again, try doing the update at a time when you "know" there won't be a powercut. (But if the electricity in Lebanon is still as bad as it was when I was there last year, you'd probably have a better chance guessing the winning lottery number )

The update takes about 2-3 min.

on my old pc , the last need for speed game i could play was most wanted, it was one hell of a game , now that i got my new pc , i got the rest of the nfs games , carbon , prostreet , undercover and shift , i finished carbon 2 days ago , n i must say its nothin compared to most wanted , then came prostreet , i installed it , played it for like 10 minutes , went to control panel , add/remove programs , and uninstalled it , WTF IS THAT GAME!! , how could EA release such a game after the successful previous games? and now im playin undercover , and im not that impressed!! the game is tooo damn easy!!its like 3am kazdir in my car , w the other cars are like kms away from me! and the handling of the car is childish , you go on corners as if your playing a small car in your room , im really disappointed from ea and nfs , hope that shift and nitro would be different from this.

You say EA as if it's a quality game publisher
The only thing EA is, is a money machine. It buys up every developer, throws money at them and cashes in the check when the game is finished.
Still, my favourite of the franchise is Underground 2.
