I read on a site that the PS3 firmware update 2.80 (optional update) has a little secret that wasn't announced to the public.

"According Naughty Dog’s Sam Thompson more RAM memory was made available by the reduction of memory consumption from the consoles operating system".

Since it's is optional, the system won't tell you that there is an update available. You have to check for updates manually.

why are games becoming so damn short!! i finished cod 5 in few days , and i spent most of my time studyin , not playin it , crysis is only 6 damn missions , prototype took a week , and ra3 also! i remember cod 1 and its expansion pack took me weeks to finish em .
i remember ra2 with its long campaign mode , which also took me weeks to finish it.
wat the hell are they doin?

Well most of the games you mentioned are multiplayer games.
The new CoD games and RA3 are multiplayer games.
Crysis is eye-candy, if it was any bigger you'd need a bigger hard drive.
Prototype was had a fair length.

And you have to remember that you might not have been the same gamer when CoD 1 was released compared to the skills you have now.

games are short because they are made to be played online/LAN.
unfortunatly shooter games (rainbow 6 vegas 2, far cry 2, COD4, COD WaW...) need at least 4 vs 4 to be playable, this is what we can't achieve among each other. (finding 8 laptops that meets such requirements) Also racing games come with no LAN option.
and many other games need to have original copies to be played on LAN/ONLINE

I just sold my 1.5 year old PS3 that has no warranty for 75% of what it costs new and there is a rumor that there willl be either a price cut or an announcment of the PS3 slim next week at Gamescom

I bet the guy who bought it from me will kick himself in the arse next week

i read that xbox elite will have a price cut too for just 300$!

Sony always make a slim version of the ps after couple years they made one for ps1 ps2 and now ps3, its a good strategy to increase the sales after a while..
