While your reply is correct as I only explicitly mentioned the houses being rebuild, I also mentioned loosing everything and by that I also meant family members. I do remember people saying they die fida sormeyit l sayid but I really doubt anyone is OK with loosing a loved one even if it's for a noble cause and specially if it wasn't necessary.

Being the leader of a big political party does not give him any right regarding the Lebanese external policies. He and other leaders of small and big political parties should pass through diplomatic channels to give their opinion and that's specially not hard for him since he controls this channel (the Foreign minister is controlled by HA or one of it's allies I think). Even countries that are "divided" (cantons) have one foreign minister and one foreign policy!

1- From what i've seen ( and i hardly think you'd take my word for it), these people would do it over and over again. But you'd have to meet them in order to see it for yourself.

There is no law or 3eref that says that he cannot express his party's position on such matters. ( mokhtasar moufid kermel ma nfoot bel ethics of condoning or glorifying x act or y act)
