I think it is similar to infrared, but i need the real definition.

What is the relation between "bluetooth" and this stuff that we put on the ear?

Bluetooth role is the as infrared but the difference is that the range of bluetooth is higher and can yekhro2 walls and can be captured through circular rays while the infrared through arc ray

the ear piece, uses the bluetooth communication technology to communicate with ur fone that also has bluetooth port, so its just a type of networking btw devices, so laptops like mine has bluetooth and u can transfer files with any device that supports bluetooth, bala m3almyie 3lek 7anzala :P
