La2 Supreme Commander, is one hell of a game, i cant play it on medium bala to2tish o.0 . Bas 7atta 3ala Low it's great, awsome zoom, great gfx, and gameplay. I liked it more than Command And Conquer 3.
BTW i think the min. requirements should be higher.

You can turtle up in ur base, reach a point when u can built a continuing stream of "T4" experimental units (super units), the super units can be from a massive spider robot with a massive lazer mounted on its head, to a huge flying saucer, in which are docked Hundreds of planes, to huge submerged submarine that can rise to the surface and deploy a canon and star blasting the base with like 5 of them, to BIIGGG artirelly pieces that can mostly assure victory but may take 164 min to build using one engineer!!!!

Thats just part of the strategy, every rts gamer should play this game, u cant go wrong either way.

By the way you wont have any fun playing the game at low graphix, the terrains is very muddy, u cant destinguish some things on the map, if u can try playing it on medium.

Ya "friendofzeus" i dont blame games . i'm just saying that it requires alot, and i cant afford a new pc now to run the game, but i know that i can run it nicely, and what i mean by "low" i meant that fik t2oul inno low:i prefer playing games on 1024*768, so i put it like this, i turned shadows off cz i never play a game with shadows : lachou badde shadows?
(a hog for no reason imo). Anti-aliasing, ma ra7 ed2our in this game i turned it off, i put texture detail on medium and level of detail on low , cz i prefer it that way .
So you can say that i'm playing it on low . inta you're playing it ktir mni7a 3alla el 6600 w ana 3al 6600GT i put the video settings that way li2anno i prefer to play it bala to2tich lal maximum , ya3ne ad ma fiyye b2allil el level of settings la 2e2dar el3aba bala to2tich wa2ta ykoun fi battle bain chi 150 unit w 150 unit. fa izan iza b3alle el level la ysir el Level Of Details Medium, w el Texture Detail lal High w Shadows On (mitl ma keno ma7toutin by default), btenla3b bass ba3den bittbatil ktir merte7a (mich mitl bil Low) mechen heik 7atteyta 3al low, la 3al alile el3ab kam battle bala to2tich. fhemt 3layye halla2?
And finally i download the latest games cz i know my pc can handle them, i sell them to ppl with great PCs, and for another reason that's rather a competition between me and some other ppl, based "who gets his hands on the latest warez first" .
BTW this game's usage of memory is a bit higher than the video card or cpu imo. (!mich 3am 2oul inno el cpu w el Video card mich mhemmin fiya , i'm only saying more memory, better gameplay in rts games as it was always)

man i ran it on my slow pc, 2.0ghz celeron, 256 mb ram, geforce 5200 FX.
(on the lowest level of detail) it is PLAYABLE, you can have fun i mean.

Dude u should check for some driver updates for u video card. I think that will solve ur problem of red rods.
And if u have vista, remove it and play ur games on xp. Games right now just dont fair very well with vista.
BTW company of heroes is far from being the best game in my opinion. Its just an upgraded warhammer 40 k game with new model textures.

Yup, there are some driver problem with vista still. i saw a 8600GT making very low and unstable Fps average on some games
and i forgot something, the amount of RAM of the VGA is not the first thing someone should look at.
