Ladies n Gentlemen... Do u think upgrading ur pc with more RAM, Graphic cards, etc... is better then having a new one? what would u say is the better thing 2 do? Upgrading the computer by adding things on here n there? or just buying a new one which will coast? What would work out better for u in performance n would also b cheaper? For what do u use ur pc? do u use it for games & chats or graphics & works...?

There is no answer to this question, it depends on your old PC (can it be upgraded and by how much) and your pocket size (can it be downgraded and by how much).
So you should mix those 2 factors and get the result that's best for you. PS: try to always get an upgradeable laptop or desktop. |

Well I am going to get a new pc, This has been with me for around 8 years.
I do not prefer upgrading it because I think it will hold the same spirit as it did. : : No really, No matter what upgrades you make to it, it will remain bil 3arabeh el mshabra78 "3atee2a".Anyway, I use my computer for music and stuff and browsing the net , I do not work graphix or even games. Thankss |

hmmm it depends if u have a duo core , for example u dont have to get a duo core 2 now , so for games u simply put a new vga and some Rams.
and it all depends on ur old pc, if u have a P1 u cant upgrade it cuz u have to change everything in it

Buying a new pc is better, because day after day new technologies and stuff are being produced, and I think it will be cheaper to buy a new one, and my computer is too old, soon my going to change it, it's 5 years old, I use it only for internet and media.

it depends on the platform (aka socket, like lga 775 and its predecessor 478) that you have. if it is the newest in the market, and your motherboard handles the latest technologies, you should upgrade, but if you dont have the latest socket, i advise you that you dont spend money, unless you find that upgrading is a good step. (like buying a VGA that will allow you to play some games).
i use my computer for internet, games, programming, drawing, photo and sound editing (but 85% of my time, and currently 100% i use it for internet) yeah i do many things on my pc, i even have ubuntu 7.04 installed along with Xp pro, b7arte2 bel linux men wa2et lal teneh ![]()

well i alwways say when getting a new computer, it is essential to have a mainboard that have the most otions and suport the latest cpus and the cpus to come, and then upgrade 3ala rawa2, so if ur planing on getting a new computer now, try the 965 mainboard with a dualcore 940 cpu(3.0) with a verynice case
coz later on ull be able to upgrade till the technology stops or te7ro2 el mainboard taba3ak cpu weill get cheaper by the time.. about 15% permonth decrese in price rams can be added all the times so is the harddrive the graphic card is the same as the cpu can be added anytime u might be getting a mainboard for about 140$ (965 with x3000 graphics, raid, 6 sata ports, firewire, sound 7.1, 1ide,support c2d) but from now till 5 years u'll be upgrading ur computer and saving a, lot of money
